BBC Radio Gloucester
Are you a lone parent who conceived your child through sperm/egg donation? BBC Radio Gloucestershire's Breakfast Show with Mark Cummings will be looking into the changing face of family dynamics and would like to talk to a woman or man who has purposefully decided to bring up a child on their own.
Freelancer
I'm looking to speak to a woman who has gone through the menopause very early for an article I am writing for a monthly glossy. This is for a sensitively written feature looking at what effects this has on your life.
We want to understand how it feels when you think your life is going to go one way (i.e. marriage, then kids etc.) and suddenly it throws you a curve ball. How have you coped with this? What would you say to other women going through the same thing? This could be a really excellent opportunity to encourage more young women to come forward for egg donation as they read your story.
We are looking for women in their twenties or early thirties and there will be a photo shoot. Please contact me on

Grazia
I am trying to pull together a really informative, sensitive piece for the glossy weekly women's magazine, Grazia, and am looking for a professional man in his 30s or 40s whose partner has been through IVF to talk about IVF from a man's point of view - the physical process, the emotions etc - but a very, very honest emotional account. Maybe you had one or two unsuccessful attempts but are now either pregnant or have had a baby.
We want to talk to the man only - everything from how difficult it is emotionally to how you might feel useless, unable to do much as it is your wife/partner that has to have the majority of the treatment. Perhaps there were times you felt it was breaking you as a couple, that you couldn't do it any more, wished it was over. Perhaps the desire to have a child almost swamped your wife/partner and you found that hard to watch/cope with. We want it to be a really honest account talking about the ups and downs of treatment - as a way of helping readers partners in a similar situation, making them see their thoughts and feelings are not only normal but common.
If you or anyone you know can help, please contact me asap at alisonpalmer@oakhouse24.freeserve.co.uk or 0779 601 6172. You will need to be happy to be identified and pictured and there is a thank you payment for your time.

Look magazine
I’m a freelance journalist writing a feature for Look magazine.
I’m looking for young women aged 19-34 who have frozen their eggs for social rather than medical reasons. Perhaps you haven’t found the right man yet, maybe you've had to prioritise your career, maybe you've got a party lifestyle and are worried about the effect it will have on your fertility in years to come.
You may not have used these frozen eggs yet or you could have had a child with one of their frozen eggs.
If you're willing to talk about freezing your eggs, please contact

The Sun
I'm writing a piece for The Sun on human egg donation, and urgently trying to find a woman who has bought (or is planning to buy) eggs abroad who can argue in favour of egg purchase, and another who has had eggs donated (or is planning to donate or receive donated eggs) here in the UK who is against that process.
Each would get £200 for a short phone call, would be able to see all copy before it goes to print, and we would happily plug any clinic or anything else as way of thanks.

The BBC
I am working on a potential documentary for the BBC about sperm donation and I am really keen to speak to British women of all ages who are currently looking for a sperm donor. I would like to find out about different women's experiences so far and their motivations for wanting to find a donor. There is no pressure to commit to being involved in the programme at this stage so if you would be happy to share your story with me or chat about this further please email me at

The Sun
I am a journalist writing an article about straight single women who have made the decision to become pregnant using a sperm donor for the women's feature pages of The Sun newspaper.
I am currently looking for a UK based woman who conceived under these circumstances to interview for the piece. This would involve a telephone chat about the reasons behind the decision you made to opt for a sperm donation and your subsequent experiences of the process. So if you have successfully conceived following a sperm donation and would be happy to talk to be about the experience I would love to hear from you.
I would need to give your full name in the article and would also want to photograph you for the piece - but in reflection of this I would be able to offer you a fee for doing the interview.
This will be a very sympathetic and compassionate piece - the aim is to educate other women in a similar position about the options open to them and to focus on positive experiences. I would be happy to read back the article to you to check you are happy with everything that has been written prior to publication.

Case study request
I'm a freelance journalist writing for a soon-to-be launched women's weekly magazine called Stylist aimed at women aged 20-40.
I'm writing an article on fertility and would like to speak to a woman in her 30s who always planned to have children mid/late 30s after she'd achieved what she'd wanted in life but when the time came she discovered she had fertility problems.
It's basically to highlight the issue of falling fertility levels in women as they move through their 30s into their 40s. I wouldn't need to picture the case study but I would like to use her name.
Can you help?

Egg donation - case study for a national magazine
I'm a freelance journalist looking to work on a feature for a national magazine looking at egg donation in the hope of raising awareness of the issue. I'm ideally looking to a speak to a young woman in her twenties who has recently made the decision to donate her eggs or has recently gone through the donation process, and is happy to share her story and the reasons behind her decision.
The feature hasn't yet been confirmed so I wouldn't be able to say whether the lady would have to attend a photo shoot but it would be a very positive and challenging article.

Documentary about older mothers
Blast! Films have been commissioned to make a documentary about late motherhood for Channel 4.
We want to highlight and celebrate some of the amazing stories of women having children later in life. We believe passionately that the subject is an important one and hope that a documentary in this area will help to get many issues into the public sphere - including those around egg donation generally.
I am a researcher who would like to speak to women over 50 who are either; going through assisted conception treatment; or lucky enough to be expecting babies. We appreciate that the process is a personal one, so at the moment, I would like to talk to women off-the-record and in confidence on the phone. Speaking to me does not involve a commitment in any way to being filmed.
Blast! Films are a highly respected TV and film production company with a reputation for making films about timely and delicate issues. We have won many awards – most recently a BAFTA for the cinema release Hunger, a drama about the Bobby Sands hunger strike.
If you would like to know more about the project then please contact me, Faye Hamilton on 020 7267 4260, 07870 698149 or
